The Government will cover 45% of the gross salary for employees returning from technical unemployment, regardless of whether the employee works full-time or part-time, for a period of 3 months, with the only obligation for the employer being to maintain the employment relationship for a period of 9 months from the date the contract is reactivated.
Another provision refers to subsidies granted to employers who hire persons from groups considered at risk (young people between 16 and 29 years of age and persons over 50 years of age).
Starting June 1, 2020, for hirings registered by December 31, 2020 of persons over 50 years of age who were laid off during the state of emergency, employers will receive a subsidy of 2,500 lei/month for a period of 12 months, on condition of maintaining the employment relationship for an additional 12 months. The value and conditions of the subsidy also apply to the hiring of young people between 16 and 29 years of age registered as unemployed at AJOFM.
